State Senator Kevin Daley is a fifth generation farmer from Lapeer County.
Meet Kevin Daley
One of eight brothers and sisters, Kevin Daley is a fifth-generation farmer from Lapeer County.
Kevin grew up on his family’s dairy farm in the center of Lapeer County. From a young age he learned the value of hard work and what it means to have strong family values.
While helping his father manage Daley Acres, Kevin began his career in public service at the local level, first serving as a member of the Arcadia Township planning commission. From there, he went on to serve his local community in the positions of trustee, treasurer, and finally, township supervisor.
After serving his local community, Kevin decided to run for State Representative and was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2008. He represented Lapeer County in the 82nd District until 2014. Despite being elected to the Michigan Legislature, Kevin continued to farm. As the only active farmer in the House of Representatives at the time, he was selected by his peers in the Legislature to serve as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee.
In 2018 Kevin decided to return to politics, running for State Senate. He was elected to represent the 31st state Senate District, which includes Bay, Lapeer, and Tuscola Counties. His colleagues, once again elected him to be the Chair of the Agriculture Committee in the Senate.
Kevin Daley is a proven conservative who works hard to stand up for good old fashioned common sense. He fights for our rural communities and you can always count on him to stand up for faith, family, and personal responsibility.
Kevin still lives on Daley Acers in Lapeer County with his wife Debbie, a retired elementary school teacher. The two of them met in church during their school years and have been married for 44 years. Together they have three children and seven grandchildren.
